Roger uses decades of insurance experience to help people understand the Medicare process in a way that is clear and easy to follow. He knows how confusing Medicare can be for seniors, and his goal is to help clients make informed decisions about their coverage while continuing to be a trusted resource whenever questions come up later.
He has owned Amerigroup Financial, LLC, an independent insurance marketing company, for well over a decade and specializes in products for Medicare beneficiaries, including Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplement Insurance, and Prescription Drug Plans. As an independent insurance professional, Roger is able to offer plans from many of the nation’s largest insurance carriers, giving clients a range of options based on their individual needs.
Roger’s agency is based in Madison, South Dakota, and he is licensed to offer Medicare-related products with licensed agents serving clients in 26 states. He began working with Bridlewood Insurance in 2019 after reconnecting with Bridlewood President and CEO Jeffry Wetzel, who grew up in the same small town in Minnesota. Roger chose to work with Bridlewood because of its strong alignment with his personal and professional goals, along with its support, training, advertising, and marketing approach.
Roger holds several degrees, including an associate degree in Agriculture from Mankato Vocational Technical Institute, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, and a bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Real Estate from Minnesota State University. Born and raised on a farm in Waterville, Minnesota, Roger later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he owned a mortgage company and a real estate agency before relocating to Madison, South Dakota in 2012.
Outside of work, Roger enjoys traveling to Mexico, riding bikes on trails in the Black Hills, entertaining friends at his lake home, flying airplanes, trail riding with his UTV in the desert or the Black Hills, boating, riding jet skis, and anything related to cars. He is also a fan of UFC and NASCAR and enjoys an active, adventurous lifestyle.
